Partner Support

Did you know it is not how you birth or the shape or size of your breast or even the baby that determines long term success? The main factor determining how breastfeeding will go for you is how much support you get from your partner.

When we say breastfeeding is a two person job, it is really true (and even more so with twins!).

There is so much a partner can do to practically help. But beyond having skills or even helping you with chores (which is wonderful of course) partners also have your back. They remember to tell you how important and valuable you are for feeding the baby and caring for the child they love. When people are passive aggressive about your feeding choices, they defend you and tell others how awesome you are for making milk, feeding baby, or pumping to provide your baby everything you can.
And in the quiet moments, when it is just the 3 of you snuggling, they love your baby, which makes you love them even more.
