Certified Postpartum Doula, Multiples Specialist, newborn care specialist, Lactation Support Specialist
Molly just loves working with babies! From her earliest career after college running a play center in Montana, to nannying for twins locally in Portland, Molly has always gravitated towards tiny ones. We met her when our doula client moved away and the mom convinced Molly to join the ranks of doulas, especially if she would apply to work with ABC. With that kind of recommendation, we knew she would be a huge benefit to our team!
With a BA in Exercise and Health Science, Molly always knew she would use her talents to support families and especially small children. Her internship was in the NICU and L&D, and although it furthered her love of tiny ones, she decided nursing was not for her. She had been an infant nanny for 10 years, and twins have kept her pretty busy since then as well. Molly was married in 2017 and the happy couple found a home in SE near Oregon City to make their own.
Currently Molly is attending the Lactation Program at PSU to become a lactation consultant in order to better serve her client families with breastfeeding. She plans to sit for the board certification exam in April of 2020.
Molly offers overnight doula support to new families welcoming their babies and needing some help with sleep recovery and organization. A patient and sensitive listener, Molly will match her care to your goals step by step, and help you recover from birth and new parent adjustment while supporting you as a family. She has provided overnight care to twins, single parents, moms with anxiety, and first time families with demanding work schedules.
She offers up to 4 overnights a week, and offers both a flexible approach to sleep support as well as a more structured routine for those with multiples or early sleep goals. She is also happy to cook for families, so ask her to whip you up a batch of her amazing banana bread, some oat bars or a nutrient dense frittata (yes, she even cooks when she has time during an overnight!).
