This special doula just loves empowering moms. As a mom of two girls, she has experienced the ups and downs of new motherhood, and has the compassion to help you make your parenting experience great. Her previous world as a social worker gave her not only a background in meeting the needs of a diverse population, but also the empathy for those struggling, and skills to help overcome challenges.
Haylie is a trained birth doula with DONA and a Certified Postpartum Doula with CAPPA, and a trained Newborn Care Specialist additionally. She is focusing on postpartum mamas for this season of her life while her girls are still small, and has advanced training in working with multiples as well.
Haylie has a BA in communication and is excellent at meeting people where they are (including grandparents who want to support a new family). She is compassionate and skilled with families from all walks of life, and is professional and organized in her approach to doula care.
Haylie enjoys hiking and traveling with her kids, seeing new sites, and exploring the beautiful wine country of Portland. She is raising her two compassionate daughters to enjoy nature, connect to people heart to heart, and to make a difference in the world.
Her availability is primarily evenings, overnights, and during the school season will be available some limited daytime hours as well. She brings her devotion to the family into her community, and has recently relocated to the west side, available to serve families in Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Tigard area as well as Portland’s eastside.
Haylie is very adept in the kitchen and home as well, so don’t forget to ask her to make you some lactation cookies, a colorful quiche, or a green smoothie! Her overnight care includes these treats, so she can pamper you directly from the comfort of your own bed.
