A doula since 2011, Nina has been working in both CA and TX previously. She was originally trained with DONA, and updated her skills with a CAPPA training in 2016 as well as adding Lactation Educator and NCS training.
Nina holds a BA degree and additional training in infant massage, childbirth education, labor support, working with twins, breastfeeding support, and pregnancy massage. She has extensive work experience with twins and preemies, especially with many babies coming home from the NICU, and many babies with reflux and colic.
She is described as a life-saver from her client families, and has a calm and patient approach to her work. She is particularly skilled at soothing babies and creating a quiet and relaxing space for babies to sleep well, as she specializes in overnight care. After relocating from San Diego and Houston, Nina and her fiancé have decided to make Portland their home while he pursues environmental law, and she brings her doula skills to serve Portland families.
We are so grateful for her gentle approach and her flexibility to serve our families both days and nights all over the Portland Metro area.
