If you are looking for a warm, engaging, and optimistic doula, Daisy would be a perfect fit for you. We have known Daisy for many years, first as a caregiver for one of our doulas (a live-in nanny of epic skills), and then as a doula who has taken not just one, but now 3 doula trainings with CAPPA.
Daisy has been a professional nanny for almost a decade, and decided to transition to doula work because of her deep love of moms and babies, and supporting the birth recovery process. Daisy had the privilege of having a little sister join her family when she was 21, giving her the gift of loving babies while she got to know this new little person that changed everyone's life. Being a big sister to such a young baby taught her many skills about the adjustment to life with newborn, and watching her mom become a new mom again stirred in her heart a desire to be a support to women during this precious time. Now that her sister is school aged, she gets to enjoy fun weekends with just the two of them, and also gatherings with her extended family in Corvallis, OR.
In addition to her foundational doula training, Daisy has attended an advanced training for working with multiples to further her knowledge of supporting families with twins and triplets, and she is continually seeking to add to her skill set for all families, as she loves to support families with diverse needs.
Daisy currently works overnights and limited daytime doula shifts. She makes a mean quinoa salad and many other delicious meals and snacks for hungry new families as well as being an attentive and compassionate listener. She is also especially helpful focusing on the needs of older children when a new baby arrives. Daisy is a lovely person to complete your circle of support, and will help make your postpartum recovery and adjustment peaceful and comforting.
